The collection of people within a company help drive many business success factors. One that does not show up on any financial statements is the impact that company makes on the local and national community. CFM Materials participated in a wide range of charitable opportunities during 2015 contributing financially as well as donating time to worthy causes.
At the headquarters site in Grand Prairie
Texas, CFM Materials continued its involvement with the Grand
Prairie Chamber of Commerce for the third year in a row as a sponsor
of the Lake Joe Pool Pumpkin Run.
Seventeen employees and spouses participated in the 5 or 10K
runs with proceeds benefiting the Alzheimer’s Association (www.alz.org),
Orphans of the World, Texas Special Olympics and many other
CFM Materials furthered its long standing support for the When Jade Smiles Organization which focuses on supporting children who have lost their parents. Beyond the participation in its annual golf tournament, the company has worked with other local companies to grow this charity from its beginning in 2013. “CFMM and GE Aviation Materials, as well as other corporations have provided monetary as well as resource support. When Jade Smiles has seen significant growth over the last year. Last year, we helped provide grief support services to over 15 families. In 2015, we have supported over 30 families,” said Rick Carson a representative from the organization.
Employees took it upon themselves to participate in events around the world. While employees attended a conference in Dublin Ireland, they participated in events for Orbis, an organization focusing on providing communities access to quality eye care. Multiple employees volunteered their time for Junior Achievement, Camp of Champs Basketball Camp at Christ’s Haven for Children, Sydney’s Band of Gold tournament for the Cure Starts Now Foundation Curing Kids Cancer, Shared Housing Center in partnership with Southwest Airlines, as well as a winter blanket and coat drive.
Looking back at all the contributions during 2015 is exciting; however the company is looking forward to continued opportunities to give back in 2016. Please review the organizations mentioned below and support them if at all possible.

Our agency offers two basic services to meet the needs of the homeless/near homeless for supportive living environments that foster interpersonal growth and mutual self-help: Homeshare and Transitional, Intergenerational Group Residence.
